Have you seen what’s happening in Dubai

Recently on a trip to see my uncle in Dubai I was amazed with what I saw. I mean I had always known that a lot was happening in Dubai and architects and engineers were dying to get in on the action. These structures are not like normal engineering rollbacks, but they are marvels. With 25% of the world’s cranes in Dubai (which is not even a country) it is a cauldron of activity with structures going up that we could only imagine. Palm Islands, Dubailand, massive indoor ski slopes, skyscrapers, amazing hotels its all part of the Dubai experience.

The palm islands will use massive water tankers to keep the land as green and as lush as a paradise, even though Dubai is basically a dessert. Picture an Island appearing out of the ocean in the shape of a Giant palm and I can tell you there are a few of these. Commercial and residential buildings to be built with celebs and the like all cramming for a spot of paradise. What’s more is that there is a world also being built in where there are smaller islands making up the world. What’s really cool about this is that is if you are living on one of the “African Islands” then your home and the surrounding area will be in the theme of Africa.

Dubailand is a massive world of entertainment that is reportedly going to cost $70 billion, & theme parks including an indoor winter wonderland. Dubai has the tallest building in the World of 828 meters the Burj Khalifa. There is an underwater restaurant and not to mention the 7 star Hotel shaped like the sail of a ship. Dubai is a world of wonder and they are undertaking some amazing things. They are building a 4 billion dollar sports city including a golf course designed by our very own Erni Els, just because they can. Dubai is not about the WHAT IF, but the WHY THE HELL NOT, a place of wonder and I cannot wait to see what the future holds.
