In this current day and age the world is massively short of jobs, it is a sad thing to think that so many young people coming out of the education system are left high and dry. South Africa has a huge problem with his and it is something that we need to overcome. In another breath I can say that the online world is growing and I don’t see that stopping. More and more people are moving online, including businesses. They are spending less and less money on offline expenses and are focusing on the online aspect of business. So where am I going with all this?
What I am saying is that it pays to bulk up that CV with online training, in the current market Jobs are not easy to come by, but the online world is growing at an alarming rate. So what I propose something that I have been doing myself is take online courses. Whether it be adobe training or Microsoft office courses there are a range of things that can be learned to bulk up your knowledge base.
They may not seem like much, but I promise you every little aspect counts, every little added thing to the CV will make a difference. Especially if it is online related it can never be a waste. Your employer will also see how eager you are to learn. Mastering excel and office, Learning Photoshop, SEO, Social media or copywriting there are many many things that you can learn.
On top of this make sure that you make your online presence and big as possible, in the modern area, you are Google’d more often than not.
