You know recently I have been thinking of my studies and education in South Africa, many people say that our education system is very poor, but the fact is that South Africa are one of the highest spenders in the world on education. Saying this I can say I got a great education and loved every minute of it. There were some hard times of course when I had to work at nights to help pay for my education like waitering or helping install small business software as I had some know how from my degree, but that is just the great thing about this country.
South Africa allows those who work hard to reach their dreams, of course nothing comes to those who sit around unless they have their parents money and I can tell you I have seen many of those in my varsity days. But for those of us real people, we know what it takes to make it in the world. I myself worked two jobs while studying. I had a run in with a invoice systems company which at the time proved out of my reach, but my coaching and waitress jobs, where right up my alley as a poor student. So we had all the ingredients
Hard work, and Education, a part time job and the last and probably most important, a little bit of luck. All of these things add to the pot of success, but it may be a long road. It takes all of life’s experiences to make us the people we are. There may be speed bumps along the way and we may feel down and just can’t go on but, that is what defines us, how we push through these trials. You will see that if you get through these hard times (you may even have a blast doing it) you will be able to get through anything. You will have real life experiences and be able to even help people when you see them in that same situation. The bottom line is don’t give up on your dreams, no matter what gets thrown in your way.
