Family Remodelling

The pains of re-doing your house may sound like a rich man’s problem in a world where there is so much more to care about, but luckily this is my blog and I can talk about what I really feel like. Recently my parents have started to re do their home and I was asked to come see what exactly was going on.

What a complete mess, the only thing that made it look anything remotely nice, is the backdrop of Table Mountain in the background. The kitchen is a complete mess and I was very happy I was not still living at home. The kitchen sinks are being re done as well as putting in all new wall tiles. I just stood there and could not believe what I was seeing. My mother came over to me in all of a panic saying that everything was so chaotic and the contractor had made false promises and behind schedule all that. 

What I also haven’t mentioned is that my brother is the contactor so; it was getting a little awkward. I knew my brother was very skilled at what he did, so I asked him to just walk me through the process, he described to what he had in mind and showed me the mock up designs and walk through the Adobe creator, and I must say that it looks good. It is amazing what designers can do these days with just the help of a computer programme. I was able to tell my mother to calm down as she would just have to deal with the chaos a little longer.
